Application Process
Application Process
- Applicants should register and log in to the online application system (click here), fill out the online application, upload the required application materials as instructed, and submit the application. The application fee is RMB 600 yuan and is non-refundable.
- The Programme office will review the application materials and send interview invitations to a short-listed eligible applicants.
- Applicants who receive interview invitations should follow the instructions to participate in the interview.
- The Programme Office will review the application materials based on the list of approved admissions from the Admissions Committee.
- Admitted students will receive admission notification letters.
Application Requirements
Application Requirements
For a Master's Programme, the applicant shall have:
1. Graduated from a recognized university and obtained a Bachelor's degree, normally with honours not lower than Second Class; or
2. Graduated from an honours programme of a recognized university with a Bachelor's degree, normally achieving an average grade of not lower than "B" ; or
3. Completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to an honours degree.
To fulfill the University’s minimum English language requirements for admission to postgraduate programmes, applicants should have:
1. obtained a degree from a university in Hong Konga or taken a degree programme of which the medium of instruction was English; or
2. achieved scores in the following English Language testsb as indicated:
i. TOEFL: 550 (Paper-based)/79 (Internet-based/Home Edition);
ii. IELTS (Academic): 6.5(Test Centre based/Online);
iii. GMAT: Band 21 (Verbal)c;
iv. GMAT Focus Edition: Band 78 (Verbal); or
3. obtained a pass grade in English in one of the following examinations:
i. Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (AS Level);
ii. Hong Kong Higher Level Examination;
iii. CUHK Matriculation Examination;
iv. General Certificate of Education Examination (GCE) Advanced Level (A-Level)/Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS-Level); or
4. achieved Level 4 or above in the English Language subject of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination; or
5. obtained a recognized professional qualificationd, provided that the examination was conducted in English.
Notes:
a. This is based on the understanding that English is the medium of instruction of degree programmes offered by universities in Hong Kong. Moreover, graduates from universities in Hong Kong should have fulfilled the English language requirements of the institution concerned when they were admitted to the degree programmes. The CUHKSZ Graduate School may request applicants to provide additional supporting documents to prove their English proficiency.
b. TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years from the test date. GMAT scores are considered valid for five years from the test date.
c. GMAT (Verbal) scores at or above the threshold value of 21 will be kept until the score validity phases out.
d. The programme/Graduate Panel shall at their discretion determine if such professional qualification can be accepted.

- Application form (filled out within the online application system, click here to access the online application system).
- Latest official transcript (including GPA and grading system).
- Current student - Enrollment certificate (must also submit the "Online Verification Report of Ministry of Education Enrollment").
- Graduates - Degree certificate and Graduation certificate.
- Relevant English proficiency certificates, or proof of English proficiency such as IELTS, TOEFL, or others.
- Resume (in both Chinese and English).
- Personal statement (in English), word count requirement: 300-600 words.
- Two letters of recommendation, in both Chinese and English (applicants need to fill in recommender information within the online application system, which will automatically send emails to recommenders' emails, and recommenders will submit letters of recommendation by replying to the email).
- Other supporting documents, such as published papers, awards, certificates, internship certificates, etc.
Notes:
During the application stage, the programme office does not require hard-copy of documents. Applicants can upload scanned copies of the required supporting documents in the application system. Before enrollment, admitted students will be asked to submit the corresponding original hard-copy documents/certified documents.

Tuition Fee and Scholarships
Tuition Fee and Scholarships
Normative study period: Two Years.
The tuition fee for the entire programme (2025 entry) is RMB 267,000.
*The tuition fee is for the full 36 credits of the major. The total tuition fee is based on the current year of enrollment. In addition, according to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and others, schools that have been approved to implement a credit-based fee system may charge fees for taking additional courses in other majors or retaking courses according to the credit-based fee rates specified for the courses taken.
Scholarships:
- Merit-based entrance scholarships are granted to qualified candidates who may receive tuition waiver up to 100%;
- Scholarships for Excellence will be awarded subject to satisfactory academic performance.
