  • What should I do if I have entered incorrect information or need to update my application materials?

    Applicants should send an email to the Programme Office at mscmkt@cuhk.edu.cn explaining the reason and requesting to withdraw their application. The Programme Office will handle such withdrawal requests on a case-by-case basis.

  • What qualities does the program look for in applicants?

    First, the Programme conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each applicant's background, including but not limited to the following aspects: educational background, professional ethics, social activities, awards and honors, practical experience, English proficiency, as well as the thoroughness and completeness of the application materials.

    Second, the Programme seeks students who have a strong interest in marketing, business knowledge, and their practical applications. At the same time, we value candidates who possess independent thinking skills, a collaborative spirit, the ability to analyze issues dialectically, and the capacity to apply what they have learned in practical contexts.

  • I have already accepted an offer for another master's programs in your school. Now I think this Programme is more suitable for me. Can I transfer to it?

    No, different programs require separate applications.

  • Do I need to provide the result from the National Entrance Examination for Postgraduate (NEEP) when applying to the MSc in Marketing Programme?

    MSc in Marketing Programme adopts online application system as general western universities, applicants are not required to take and provide the test result of ‘the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination (NEEP)’ to apply to The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

  • What is the admission requirement for GPA?

    Our entry requirement regarding GPA is not lower than 80 (out of 100), 3.0 (out of 4.0), letter grade of B. If your grading system is different to the grading system mentioned above, please ask the Academic Affairs Office from your undergraduate/postgraduate university to provide the official grading system. For specific admission requirements, please refer to the official website of the Graduate School.

  • Is there any undergraduate background requirement regarding the application?

    There is no limitation regarding the applicants’ undergraduate background/major. We warmly welcome applicants from various majors.

  • Can I apply for more than one Programme?

    Yes. Applicants need to submit separate applications for different programmes at Shenzhen Finance Institute.

  • What is the admission procedure?

    Applicants shall apply to our Programme through the Online Application System. Once your application documents are submitted and completed, we will start to review them. A shortlist of candidates will be invited to an on-site interview. Individual interview will be conducted in English for 10 minutes. After the interview, successful applicants will be notified by the Programme office within 1 month via email.

  • Are the recommendation letters necessary? If yes, are there any requirements or specific format provided by the university?

    Two recommendation letters are required for enrollment. The referee can be your school principal, counselor, or teacher as well. There aren't any specific format or requirements needed for the recommendation letters. If the referee were unable to receive an automatic email requesting recommendation letter sent by the application system, they can email their recommendation letters directly to the Programme email: mscmkt@cuhk.edu.cn.

  • Can I still apply for admission if my English test results have not been released? Or can I submit any missing admission document(s) later in the admission process?

    If you do not have a valid English proficiency test result during the application, you may leave it blank or provide your CET-4/CET-6 score to show as a reference. The deadline to provide a valid English proficiency test result is before the 31st of May. Please visit our Programme website to see what required documents are needed for admission to our Programme. If you were unable to upload any required documents into the Online Application System, you may email us any missing or additional documents via mscmkt@cuhk.edu.cn. Please state your name and application number clearly when emailing us.

  • When is the application deadline?

    Please refer to the latest official notification from the program for the specific admission deadline.

  • How many students are expected to be admitted in this Programme?
